VERIFY ACCREDITATION

Overview

Verification is at the heart of GACOL’s commitment to transparency.
Every accredited institution, program, and certificate issued by the Global Accreditation Council for Online Learning (GACOL) can be publicly verified in real time through our online verification system.

This ensures that students, employers, government agencies, and academic partners can instantly confirm the legitimacy of a university’s accreditation status.

How Verification Works

Each accredited university or program is assigned a unique Certificate ID such as
GACOL-ACR-2025-001 and a QR code that links directly to its verification page.

Visitors can confirm accreditation through three simple methods:

  1. Search by Certificate ID
     Enter the certificate number in the search field.

  2. Search by Institution Name
     Type the full or partial university name to view its record.

Verification Results

Institution Name: Legal name of the accredited university.
Accreditation Level: Provisional / Full / Renewal Status
Accreditation Scope: Institutional and/or Program coverage
Certificate ID: Unique GACOL identifier
Validity Period: Start and expiry dates
Verification Link: Permanent URL to public record

Security Features

GACOL’s digital verification platform uses:

  • Blockchain-backed record logging to prevent data alteration.

  • Unique QR codes embedded in every PDF certificate.

  • Timestamped digital signatures from GACOL’s Secretariat.

  • Secure hash validation to confirm authenticity of files and IDs.

Public Access Statement

GACOL’s verification records are publicly accessible and free to use.
No registration, payment, or login is required to confirm accreditation status.
If any institution falsely claims accreditation, please report it to verification@gacol.org for immediate review.
